Hi all. Surprise, we’re not dead!
I thought I’d catch you up on what’s happening though. In February my position at the church I’d been at for 10 years, ended amicably. I immediately started helping a very small house church near our home. The financial pinch, combined with AX’s being on Sundays in the first half of 2013, resulted in Kari and I being absent. We’ve missed those times and look forward to getting back!
To make ends meet and keep us in Porsche fun, I have several irons in the fire. I started a site offering my services as a wedding officiant. http://www.wedding-pastor.com if you know of anyone looking to get married contact me! Yes, I have special pricing for PCA members
Also, in late 2011, I came across 30 pages of a novel I’d started 26 years ago. After reading them, I re-wrote and just kept going. As of this week, Tearing the Shroud has officially been picked up by Escape Publishing, a branch of Harlequin. An editor has had the manuscript for a week or so and the digital release is scheduled for early November. When a solid date happens I’ll let you know. Though we don’t see it in book one, the female lead comes from a PCA family (of course). That is part of the story in book two, which I’m currently revising. If you are of the Facebook inclination, find my author page at https://www.facebook.com/JMBray.books I also am active on Twitter: @JMBraybooks
When Tuffy’s registration came up last month we decided to non-op him and tow to events, rather than have to borrow an exhaust system and go through changing everything out to have him pass smog. As a result, we are looking for an affordable Porsche, probably in the 944/968 family, maybe something a little unique somehow, to have as a driver and Porsche non-performance event car. The emphasis, until the book sells a bagillion copies, is on affordable. So, if you have something you are interested in letting go for a few-ish grand, let us know.
We look forward to seeing you all again SOON!
Mark and Kari
