Hello Back Country Fans!

Registration opens today at 12:00 PM for the upcoming Tour (September 7th, 2013). Go to http://WWW.PCASDR.MotorsportsReg.com for details.

This will be a great drive over some of the twistiest, finest, most scenic roads of San Diego's North County. For those of you who like to "drive," this is likely to be the most challenging Tour of the year, as well as one of the most scenic.

We start at Hoehn Porsche (8:00 AM), and will wind our way through the back-country past granite peaks, vistas, and more ... ending at an All-You-Can-Eat lunch at the Wynola Pizza and Bistro in the mountains east of here. This is sure to be a GREAT drive.

UPDATE! Location for the start of the Tour is Hoehn Porsche in Carlsbad, not Porsche of San Diego (my mistake ... apologies!).

Nice drive yesterday! Thanks for organizing this. Huge thank you to Hoehn Porsche for giving me the keys to that 2007 GT2 and letting me start it up - if only they would have let me drive it away.

The drive was a blast - a little tough on this old man due to non operational AC and 100+ temps along the way . Driving behind Jim's GT3 on the first leg was a wonderful sight and having Dan's 1964 356 right being me on the final leg brought out the smiles when I'd look in the rear-view mirror. Finally, the food was excellent and the rain up in Wynola gave me a good reason to wake up at 6:00am today to give my 911 a good wash and wax. Finished the day off with family and friends at Stone Brewery in San Marcos - couldn't ask for a better Saturday!
