No breaks into turn six, you can do it! Tuffy and I ran a 1.51.54

Have a blast.

Just a heads up. Noise limit for this event is 90db. If you're going, make sure you've got a really quiet exhaust.

I've never raced a 944 but this is what we were told during our track walk.
T6 accelerate to the bridge, then light brake.
T6 start turn in at the #1 brake sign.
At track in apply enough throttle to shift weight off the nose before the front suspension compresses on the dip at the apex of T6.

Anyone know how difficult is it to make 90db with a stock induction 3.6? :?:

I wouldn't think making the sound limit in the stock 3.6 would be an issue. The main meter is as you head up the hill toward T6 I believe.

In a 924S/944 there are no brakes needed at the bridge. A small throttle left when turning in at brake point 1.5-ish then back on full throttle once the turn in is set. Someone with bigger huevos (or sway bars) might not even need to lift. YMMV Here is a vid of Tuffy and I hot footin' it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAPyHBQmNIs

While a 924 may make T6 without braking, I really would not suggest it for you :banghead: (You will literally bang your head, car and everything else into the wall)

90 db's is hard to achieve, but possible. We needed full mufflers and silencers on the end with our stock watercooled 3.6. Weather is also a big factor. Stay in the pits if it is foggy the first session :surr:

Great track though!

Hmm. Wonder if my car is quiet enough w/ the street muffler? Laguna Seca is a 'bucket list' event for me ... and I'm not gettin' any younger.

I did make a custom muffler / header set up for Laguna last year. 86db even with my individual throttle bodies. I do rent the set up if anyone needs.... Will work on 3.5L and larger displacement.
