Button Willow TT year end standing!

The 2014 Time Trial season is coming to an end on November16th.
With no less than 6 classes up for grabs for first or second places it is going to be a nail biter!
http://results.pcasdr.org/season_standi ... atabase=tt

I hear it on good authority that some of these class warriors will be going all out to take home the awards for best car/driver honors.
Stacks of new super sticky tires, last minutes tweaks to the cars and crash diets for car and driver alike!

This is an event not to be missed!!!

I understand you're going to have brand new sticky tires and plan on dominating for the hotly contested CC09 championship. I just hope that I can stay within 2-3 seconds of you with my used, slightly square, heat cycled tires at your "home" track. :surr:

It is going to to be the determining event for some classes. CC-11 is pretty well wrapped up with DanManDown leading the parade. He had a stellar season and has rightfully earned his #1 spot. That don't mean I won't be trying to hand him a little Wuppa$$ at Buttonwillow just to keep him humble. He's gonna have to check his mirrors once in a while (if only to watch me fade from them :surr: ). It might be a good idea for DMD (DanManDown) to stay at the track overnight. Leaving his car unattended could be ….. well never mind.

CC-9? Well, that's another story! I'd almost switch run groups so I could watch the dynamics and the drama of a certain Silver Bullet and 911-SG. The mind-games are just beginning, I'm sure. While poor M.R. has to contend with running itsy-bitsy 225/245 used tires, SG can't really flog-it 'cause he's sharing a car and can't risk breaking it (Don't worry: I'll be bringing all my spare parts again: axles, CV joints, hubs, wheels, lug nuts).

As noted, there are several other classes that bring the season to a close based on BW results. It's down to the wire, and everyone will likely be bringing their A-game. As a token of good sportsmanship, I'm offering DMD a couple of gifts for Saturday night: a bottle of Jack Daniels, a bottle of Jose Quervo, maybe a couple of beers to wash 'em down. Stop by garage #6, DMD. We'll have ourselves a good ol' time! (Now, where'd I put that tea?)

I was going to invest in some new tires, but I'll be dropping down a class next year with smaller tires and running in CC08. Steve has scared me out of CC09 and I believe I might be better off running in a lower class in my underpowered, skinny tired, no ABS or driving aids, obsolete, 35 year old car. :bigcry:

DC #1, you are a true gentleman racer, in an upperclass (cc11)of civilized professionals. Unlike the lower nascar style classes
Mark, since Stevie G. sold you the silver bullet, he should get to choose his weapon; picking either your car or his for the title run  Fire at ten paces!
Of course all classes are thrilled to have the Boxster Bro's attend, with hops and jam.
BTW, Frickin McDuff is currently hiding in Texas and scared to run Stevie G's home track .......... Oh the humanity

Mr. Rondeau,
I can only quote (or tolerate) one of your ridiculous comments at a time. so let me say this:
I cant remember the last time I had such challenging competition in class or had to endure such swill coming out of anyone's mouth.
You are so full of crap I am putting my spare set of Sparco high top driving shoes in my bag as soon as I press the submit button here.
That's not completely true, I can remember the last time I was challenged to this level. But I never shared my car with him again...

You have the faster car and possess more need to win than I do. I just drive for fun.
And it is going to be a lot of fun beating you at Button Willow.

Yes, Steve, be very wary. This looks like a blatant forum pysch job by Senõr Rondeau, throwing in the towel before the race is run. Looking at the season results, the only reason he is down by 5 points is that he had no result in the first event. I'm seeing 4 wins for him against 1 for you in the rest of the season. How does this make him the underdog? Oh yeah, his old "slightly square, heat cycled tires" and your "home track" advantage. Yet he says he was going to buy new smaller tires and drop down a class next year because you're too dominant? And Buttonwillow has been repaved and you're running a new configuration this event? I hear the sound of big sandbags falling somewhere in the distance...

You think?
So you have met Mark then...
He has run newer fresher tires for timed runs and has run the class.
That changes for button willow.

But you should have seen him place a fake call to his tire guy ordering another set of sticker Hoosier R7's at lunch the other day...
Oscar worthy performance.
Too bad she skipped the first race of the year to go to Disneyland for the 47th time...
Very expensive weekend indeed.
What would he pay for 15 second place points now?

What? I'll just do the best I can and hope that that's enough to beat Steve. Can't a guy just be honest without people making fun of him? :(

OK. Now I'm really cracking myself up. This is going to be fun. My old heat cycled tires are Hoosier R6/R7's with two very short sessions on them and I'll be gunning for Stevie G. If he wins, he'll have earned it. Let the games begin.

Think I will get a restrictor plate and re-dyno my car so that I can run cc09 and join the fun

I will make you a restrictor plate
But I don't think the rules will allow getting points back for less than stock HP. Shame.
