Bought a CGT from Pioneer Centres.
I just thought I would share my CGT experience.

Ben hooked me up with Chris Huck at Pioneer for the purchase of my 05 CGT. I was most impressed with Chris's knowledge and enthusiasm with Porsche's and the CGT.
Chris was utterly professional as was everyone at Pioneer. It took about two minutes to make a deal and I drove down the next day for pick up.

Upon arrival Chris and the Pioneer staff got me through the paper work process in record time and treated me like I was a longtime customer not a first time buyer at Pioneer.

The car was immaculate and ready for delivery.

Everyone needs to know that every single piece of garbage that has been written or said about this car is totally inaccurate. The clutch issue simply does not exist. It feels like the clutch on every 600HP car I have ever driven. At 600 HP the clutch is going to be heavy. But I drove it around Vegas traffic all day today without a single stall. You can use the Porsche method or a method one would use on any extreme high HP car. If you have less experience it would take no more than an hour to be completely comfortable with the clutch.

As a matter of fact if I had not read about any of the horror stories associated with the CGT clutch I would not have given it a second thought. It is what I would have expected. The car is a pleasure in traffic no problems what so ever. Porsche must be completely baffled at all the bad press this car got.

The ride height is low and requires one to pay attention. But it got over every speed bump in my subdivision and up a steep angle into a driveway. It just takes patience and these things must be traversed SLOWLY. But it is not abnormal for a car such as this.

The car is simply the finest car I have ever driven which includes an F 50 and my two GT2s. I have about 35 cars now and after buying the CGT 25 are for sale because this is the only car I would want to drive. Everthing else is simply inferior.

Porsche has confirmed that 2005 is the last model year for the North American CGT due to the 2006 cars not being able to meet the new airbag reqiuriements. If you can figure out how to swing one one it is simply better than any car being built today. The finest all around car on this planet. IMHO

You mean they treated you well when you bought a $450,000 car from them? Shocker. :)

The true test of a dealerships professionalism is when you buy $2.00 parts and the parts guy spends 20 minutes helping you find the right one, and the sales staff gives you a nice greeting and a warm hello even though they know you aren't there for the big items.

Chris is a great guy, but then I have to agree with the above quote. I would not be spending around $500K if the service and support were not superior.

It's not my car (I'm Ben, not Les). That was a repost of Les' post about his experience with Pioneer. He is an out of towner and bought the car near cost. So, Pioneer in general and Chris in specific didn't have any more reason to go out of the way for him than they would for the customer of a $2 part on which they likely made a similar total profit! I'm just reporting my friend was apparently quite satisfied with Chris and Pioneer.

A group of us ran into Jay Leno with his new CGT several months ago one early Sunday morning in the canyons above Malibu. We were pulled over and he stopped, turned around, and came back to show off his new ride. He said it was his very first Porsche, and the finest car he had ever driven. He said he liked it better than his Enzo, and that he's no longer a Ferrari guy.....He spent about a half-hour with us, and told lots of stripper jokes!

Sweet Leno story...

I would think Pioneer would have provided a stripper for a guy buying a 450k car..... :D

I know I need help, oh yeh I guess the buyer is from Vegas so he probably has a full stable of them at home........ :roflmao:

It's great to hear this positive feedback about our local Porsche dealer, Pioneer Centres.
Our local PCA Region has a great relationship with our dealership.
Some time back in the past, we weren't so close, and I didn't count a single Pioneer Centres employee driving a Porsche.
If a PCA Region is lucky enough to have a dealership in town, shouldn't that dealership be one of the focal points of the local club? I thought so.
Today, Pioneer Centres sponsors more than several of our events. They typically host the Jan tech session. More than several employees own and drive Porsches. Some even compete with them. Chris Huck has been on our board of directors.
As a club member, I really appreciate and value our relationship with Pioneer Centres and hope that it just gets better in every way. The new look of the dealership is stunning.
Now will somebody help Jack Brewer find that license plate frame he wanted? :D

I have been the guy buying $2.00 worth of parts at Pioneer (hey it's for a 944!) and they were great! And while I was buying the parts, Chris took the time to show a GT3 to my 14 yr old son. Who obviously is not getting one any time soon. I have nothing but good things about Pioneer and as soon as I retire from my government job this summer and get a real job, I am making a beeline to Chris' desk to get that Cayenne! Chris if you are listening, seal grey or teal S model is my starting point.

At last count I have bought five cars - a Boxster, a 993 , a Discovery and two Range Rovers from Pioneer. They have always been a pleasure to deal with. Both my partner an I had old crappy series I Rovers when we moved here from Chicago which were maintenance nightmares and Pioneer handled them with care.

I have had about 40 cars, of almost every ilk and Pioneer has been the best dealer relationship I have ever had.

This is not to mention the time and money they put into PCA SDR. :D
