I have decided to sell one of my extra sets of wheels and tires for my '73 911RS clone and would like to offer them to someone local before going thru the hassle of Ebaying them, with shipping, etc.

I have a pair of 8x16" 951 Fuchs (23mm offset) w/ 245/45-16 R3S03 Hoosiers for the front and two 9x16" 930 Fuchs (15mm offset) w/275/45-16 R3S03s in the rear. These are the widest rims and tires that will fit an SC or Carrera (and/or any early 911 with RS flares in the rear) with a minimum of modifications for clearance, and maintain the stock look of the forged Fuchs wheels.

The rims have been completely reconditioned, polished and anodized, and can be painted any pattern or color to match your car as desired. The tires are a couple of years old, but have only three heat cycles on them with over half the tread depth left, and have been stored in black plastic bags when not in use.

The rims alone are over $3K new (if you can find them) and the tires are $900 new from Hoosier, but I will sell the whole used set, mounted and balanced and ready to go, for $2400. Please E-mail or PM me thru the forum here if you are interested. I am user #25 in the Memberlist.

Thx,
TT

Tom:

As you know, I have those wheels (2 sets) in my 1986 944 Turbo if not the same tires. Mine are 245/45 all around. Bob Hayes, friend of Doug Kott, who also owns a 1986 944 Turbo was wondering at one point where he could find a set of wheels like yours. Maybe you can contact him.

Thanks Otto! I sent Bob a PM to look at this thread if he is interested.

In my 911-centric way, I did forget to mention that these wheels will also work on the '86 944T, but I believe they changed offsets in the later years of that model.

Tom, yes the 951 offset at the front was changed from 1987 onward. However, as you pointed out in your message, the nice thing about those 8 inch front wheels is that they will allow the fitment of 245/45/16 tires not only on the 1986 944 Turbo but also on all 911 SC's and 84-89 Carrera's if I am not mistaken.

OK, one last bump for this to find a local buyer before I ship them out of state. There are pictures and full description in my ad for them on the Pelican Parts forum at this link. If somebody needs them for the QDE, I'll bring them down. I will let them go for $2300 including centercaps this weekend.

Thx,
TT

Tom,

I'm looking for a set of 15X7 Fuchs. Anyone have a set they want to sale?
