Dunno...I had him in my sights as he just bashed his way over the gaiters. He'd gone off the lap before and I suspect a little red mist. Unfortunately I didn't have the cam on during practice starts...1 guy really collected another in turn 1. I nearly got in that one.

San Diego represented well in the Enduro... Roland Schmidt, Jack Miller, Bill Hartsock and my brother and I all finished 1st in our respective classes. On the Sunday inverted start race, Hartsock put on a clinic...he carved up the field and held off a 993 cup car for about 3 laps to take the checkered. Really wish I coulda raced Sunday...the car was hooked up!

Jim,

Great video! That track was really fun....
I think I was right there behind you at the start as I was next to Jack, and saw him take off down the left side. Since I never saw myself on the screen I obviously never passed you! I was the Polar Silver 993 TT.

The enduro was my very first club race and I just tried to stay clean and finish (18th). Thanks to all who offered advise and encouragement, I had a blast and won Rookie of the Weekend.

Anyone going to Phoenix this weekend with POC?

JRG

Congratulations on the weekend JRG! You're right, it was a fun track. At some point I was behind you, I think when they threw the double yellow. Missed you hard Johnny, that track is perfect for us puny 3.0-3.2's. The straights aren't long enough for the big cars to stretch their legs. That's why Jack and I were nose to tail for the 1st few laps till Dave B got between us. I still can't finger out why they pulled a wrecked car from the infield...I didn't think it was in a place that could cause trouble.

I couldn't either, but I'm a rookie so what do I know. It did look kind of cool having a cup car just sitting out there in the infield...sorta like the Cadillac sitting in the water hazzard at Augusta....
