Everything was okay, except I had built a new grill out of expanded metal. Looked really neat. Unfortunately, expanded metal grill, I have since learned, does not flow air well. So, we were a bit worried initially as the car was running much hotter than normal and too hot for even tight rings on a break in. So after lunch, we yanked all my hard work out, took it out and it was fine. Between Steve (previous owner / engine builder) and myself, we put a good 41/2 - 5 hours on the car. Everything worked great. Track was very hot so the tires were not lasting all that long, but good enough for practice. We turned the boost up to about 17lbs psi and finished off the afternoon with it. Steve could almost keep up with a GT3-R down the straight and was only losing about a second a lap on it.
We were both going around 2 at about 92-95 mph all the way around in 5th. I think I was hitting close to 140 on the straight and 150 about halfway around 8. All that according to my gear chart, as I don't have a functioning speedo.
