I've attended a few and had fun.
The current venues and price$$ give me pause to join another.
I know none of us are "poor", but ........
I'd suggest going back to more inclusive venue$$$$$
It seems like Pamplemousse (where Maya and I got engaged 20+ years ago) is a minimum of $150 per person.
Too spendy for me.
