Southbound 5 - temp closure scheduled this weekend

Looking forward to our first PCASDR autocross since Feb 2020! Big thanks to all that have been working on this project to secure a local driving venue for the club.

Heads up: If you are planning on driving the 5 south to the event, it appears that a portion of the 5 will be closed to southbound traffic from approximately Old Town to Downtown. Link with further details below:

The southbound closure begins at 9 p.m. Friday at Interstate 8 and lasts until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11.

All traffic will be diverted to to eastbound I-8. At least one lane of southbound I-5 will remain accessible from on-ramps south of I-8 for limited local and airport traffic, according to Caltrans San Diego.
