After reading about the potential advantages of this system, especially giving more power at lower rpm (<3000) I'm thinking about putting this in my '78 911SC to replace the stock CDI box. Does anyone have experience with the 6AL or better, the newer 6AL-2? Also I've read that you should replace the coil and get shielded spark plug wires as well as the tach module - any advice on that? Finally, what shops in San Diego have experience installing these? I have read horror stories on the internet of poor installations with arcing wires, engine cutting out at higher rpms, etc. Any advice or experience you've had would be greatly appreciated!
