WE HAVE WAY OVER ONE MILE OF PAVED RUNWAY !

A place to hang out and discuss all things Porsche.

Jad is really named Jade? Well, that is the 2nd most surprising thing in this thread.

The most surprising thing in this thread is that Orange County Region and a track event are mentioned in the same paragraph! :D

Just kidding. I was an OCR member for years. I thought you guys just liked to have pancakes or omelettes and call it a successful PCA event. :D

I better be careful or they won't let me transfer back in to the region.

I'm very sorry.

Sincerely,
Curt Anderson

Could somebody enlighten Brad...simply stated, they are 'all' 911 courses...

I have to hand it to you. Driving a 911 fast is a full time job. I had to think 5 minutes ahead on a 85 second course. Every 911 driver who gets in a Boxster or a 914 goes "OH" it turns IN.. it goes where I point it..LOL (944 guy's say it also) Then I typically bring out the fact that Porsche has never won Leman overall with a Porsche powered from the rear :)

I always thought the 935 was powered from the rear.

I'll give you one year..LOL

Next time I see Bob Garretson/Bruce Anderson/Jerry Woods.. they can swiftly kick me in the *** :)I'll see them at the German AutoFest this year. I'll let them know I let them down..ha ha

It was their team based out of Mountain View CA. backed with Dick Barbour who won it.

If you get a chance.. view the video "WarHorse Gang" it is all about the Garretson adventures back in the day.

You cant scare me..LOL it is all in good fun.

I get tired of talking about "setup", trash talk is easier. Gives you something to prove at the next event ;)

Some of my best friends have wrecked 944's.

Here is your list of winners
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Le ... 4h_winners

And there's that Kremer Racing 935 in 1979...
While there are a whole host of mid engined cars I don't see a single 914.
Hmmm...
Lots of front engined cars as well.
No front engined Porsche's though...
And lots of air cooled winners it the ranks.
I guess all that proves is that a 911 is only fast with a talented driver and the rest are relying on equipment over skill.
That's why I drive front, mid, and rear engined cars... so nobody will figure out just how talentless I actually am...

I wonder if some guys over on an RX-7 forum are having the same discussion about the Mazda 787B win in 1991
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_787B

No more of a stretch than a 914 being a 962, or all those FIAT Uno drivers who feel eternally connected to Michael Schumacher in his FIAT/Ferrari.

Results for the El Toro are up. Go to Autocross Information and click on results.
S/B 90% correct. We hope to have items like the BRI index up in the future.

Hope to see a few of you on Sept. 9th at Calif. Speedway. We are using the very large GREEN LOT.

Have Fun! Steve Eguina

It is interesting to see that the overall distance for the winners seems to be the 1971 917. Boy that car as fast and reliable by comparison to today's standard, still!

You can only make those comments when you own one...
Fortunately I will drive just about any P-car I can get a good deal on.
Glad you enjoyed that one...
