Super fun night! Thanks Katina, Mark, Tami, Bill I, Steve G. Keith, and all for all your work. And Bill B., Jackie L. Ron and Dave made the awards a riot. Mike, the time trial awards were amazing - Thx for making them!!

Let's do it again next year. :D

Hi Gang!
Thanks for a great time. :beerchug: Good thing I was the "Diamond Lane Dummy" and not the "Designated Driver".

The awards were VERY nice! While not as fancy, I particularly liked the one presented to TEAM DAVID'S Bob Scheussler, OCR Auto-X Chairman as WINNERS of the 2008 DAVId and GOLIATH CHALLENGE. :D

I'm sure TEAM GOLIATH will show "little" TEAM DAVID who is "King of the Cones" this year. :burnout:

Also, I really like the SDR logo flag I won. It now hangs above my bed  ....at least till my wife wakes up!

Thanks again for your hospitality! Steve "Bernie" Eguina - Self appointed David and Goliath Challenge "Ruler"
Friend of the "CONE"!

Not only did we LOSE the David and Goliath challenge, but had to suffer the stab to the heart of seeing the "enemy commander" parade about brandishing our captured flag in truimph (insert whiny sound here)
I suggest dirtier tactics be employed in the coming campaign, such as rules that require the "enemy" to fight standing in neat rows wearing bright red uniforms while we get to dress in camo and shoot from behind the trees.......wait, that's already been done against the Brits........or require them to drive all cars to the events......or make a "special" tire pressure rule that only applies to them....or.....maybe we could drive a little better....... :beerchug:

Now that's a driver's dinner! Loved the trophies all round. Everyone worked so hard to make this happen. What a blast. Mark, Katina, Mike, Laurie, Tammy and Bill, Bill, Ron and Dave and everyone else: Thank you very much.

Great evening! The Drivers Dinner Team did a fantastic job with the whole evening. :beerchug:

Am I the only one who would like to get a copy of the video? :D Perhaps we could sell some to help fund the next dinner?

+1 on the video. Thanks to everyone who helped out and especially to Mike Brown for stepping up as event sponsor and Time Trial award manufacturer and Katina and Tami for coming up with a perfect venue and putting together a wonderful event.

Hat's off to the Driver's Dinner Team. That was one of the best evenings Monica and I have had with PCA-SDR. The video's/pictures were great! The awards were very nice and the presentations were fun, funny, and fitting to a bunch of fun-loving people. I also enjoyed watching the "feeding-frenzy" each time a pan of pizza came out. That should have been video'ed.

Geat job, all! :beerchug:

ps: Steve "diamond-lane-Bernie" Eguina: This year I'll be making a real effort to drive in the David/Goliath events. I can't stand by and let "David" gloat.... :roflmao: Hopefully, the recently tweeked BRI for IS-Class won't damage our results.

Glad everyone liked the video. It was quite a ride getting it all together. Although I made the final video, I couldn't have done it without content from Sean Steele, Martin Reinhardt, Steve Grosekemper, Ted Witte, Greg Phillips, Mark Rondeau, Chuck Sharp and probably others that I didn't even know about.

I'm willing to make a master DVD and maybe a couple of copies, but I don't have the time to do a lot of DVD duplication.

Word of warning to anyone who thinks they want to do video:
- Buy 2x to 4x the machine you think you will need.
- Take your time estimate and multiply it by 10.
- Get ready for a love / hate relationship with your video editing software (it doesn't matter who made it).
- You'll never really be happy with the final results.
- When you think you've learned a lot about it, you'll realize that you don't know jack.
- It's got to be a labor of love otherwise you'll never do it again.
- There is real satisfaction when you finally get it done.

What a great, fun party. Thanks to the entire Driver Dinner Team for year 2 of the most fun event we have. Can't wait until next year. :beerchug:

That video would be perfect to give to Hoehn to put on their big screen in the lobby. Maybe we could get them to put in a small fridge and stock it with beer so we could stop by and watch while having a cold one. Bill, would you be willing to provide a copy for Hoehn to display in their showroom?

Wonderful evening. Congratulations to everyone!
