Would you be interested in a D.E. at the Coronado Speed Fest on Thursday 9/24

I would be interested in 5 20 minute sessions for $265 at Coronado.

Martin - Is it true the Navy wil have a F-22 Raptor to take on Erik Kinnenger? (just kidding)

I know you are planning a "ride-share?" event for Saturday. Navy folks ride for free - others a small charge?
I can help if you need help.
Drive too - my usual "rain tires" I drive on slip/slide/drift real easy. Very impressive - even though we know it's slow.

The F-22 was supposed to be a surprise. So much for State secrets. :roflmao:

I need a lot more positive feedback to put on the mini-autocross. At this rate, we better learn to live with potholes.
Thanks for the offer of help.

Do we have an exact schedule for the DE? I might have to catch a flight out of town around 6:30pm that night.

Great News!!! After just 5 days, we have a total of 100 registered for this event!!! We're 2/3 full at this point and only 14 spots left for PCA members. If you know anyone that was thinking about signing up but for whatever reason hasn't done so yet, tell them to get on it.

We still have to leave slots open for the vintage racers, but if they don't start to fill the non member side of the ledger, we just might have to open it up for more PCA members.

Some quick thoughts. In looking at the registrants, all except a handful from LA and Orange county are based in San Diego. Please, olease, please everyone pre-tech your car. We have to insist on this as we just won't have enough techs and time on base to complete this before the track goes hot at 8:00 a.m.

Did I fail to mention what time the track goes hot? 8:00 AM,please pre-tech, 8 A.M. please pre-tech,

you do what you need to do, i'll take care of all your stuff...

BTW, how come we don't see the gulf/arco-ampm car listed @ pre-reg... more excuses...

:?

So if I tech one car for the DE, that sticker will "migrate" to my other car for the mini-AX?

looks like a trick question... :?: hello, "anybody out-there ?"

I wouldn't suggest it. We are trying to show the Navy how safe and organized we can be. Cheating on a tech inspection and possibly having a safety incident would not put us in good favor. I would suggest we have each car tech inspected, it is a rules requirement. The same car can run both the DE and the mini AX with one tech inspection. No sharing of tech stickers between cars.

Dave, my point is "Is there going to be tech on site before the mini AX?" or do I have to pre tech two cars?
If the mini AX is going to be a slalom in a closet and there's only a few of us driving/giving rides perhaps we could have a miniscule tech line to show the Navy how that's done too..............

Dan A.: What ... you never heard of vacation? "Stay"-cation? "Play"-cation?

C'mon, Dude! No vacation left on the books? Call in "Well!" You know: "Sorry boss, I won't be coming in today. I'm feeling too good to work. I'm sure this condition is highly contageous, and you don't want a whole shop full of happy employees running around, now do you? So, I'll just go down to Coronado, get my butt kicked by lesser-built cars in KI than mine in AM, and tomorrow I'll feel much more unhappy, and ready for work." :roflmao:

Hope to see you there. :beerchug:

Newby question. Any AX or DE experience needed to do this DE at Coronado? Never been to an AX. But I read that instructors where available for rookies. Want to know before registering. Many thanks

Unfortunately you would not qualify for this event as some autocross experience or combination of ax/pds is required for a DE.
