944 Needed for Photo Shoot

Postby Steve Grosekemper on Thu Sep 03, 2009 5:07 pm

I got a call today from David Gooly of Excellence Magazine and they are looking for an all original pristine early 944 with cookie cutter wheels for a shoot.
He prefers mid range colors no red/white/black... preferably gold...

If you have such a car and would like to brag to your friends about being in excellence here is his contact info.

The corwins black car... just need the cookie cutters put on. It's mint. Black on black, as clean as they come.

The one I sold last year is in town, and perfect enough to enter concours.....and maybe even win the street car class 8) The new owner would be thrilled.
BUT....it's red, an '86, and has phone dials......

I had a perfect 29K mile 84 944 here (In black) and he passed.
Black cars just don't photograph as well.
And the car must an early car, no turbos, S2's, or late offset cars.

Steve, must it be in the San Diego area? We have a number of 944's that meet the criteria and participate in Concours events all through the Zone. There are even a couple in the Orange County-Long Beach area.

Let me know if I can help.

Yes San Diego,
They are shooting this weekend I believe with another car that is here... maybe a matching 968 next to it to show the beginning and the end...

Well, if the need continues to exist, we can still be responsive and I imagine someone can DRIVE their 944 to San Diego from Orange County....

if it doesn't work out, let me know in enough time.
