Spring Mountain Time Trial - Results

Yea, congratulations Bob!! What an amazing drive! Bob, Jackie, Jose and I did a late night inspection of the whole track by flashlight...and I implemented some of Bob's ideas in the first session on Sunday. Right away I sliced off 1.2 seconds from my best time Saturday. That really opened my eyes, I thought I had reached the end of my rope. I just could not find any time. Then chasing Jacky I pulled another 1.5 seconds on top of that! At this point, I don't even know what I did... I just know I was pushing that little pumpkin like the devil was chasing me. The spin was just to make sure nobody was sleeping in the pits. It was funny...when the car stopped, all I saw were heads looking over the wall to see what happened. I guess going flat over the last turn does not really work.

No kudos for Bob Ehrman tearing up the track with a 1:26? Has anyone in the Club ever gone faster --just curious.

The next closest track records in class are in the 2:28s-- Mike Gagen in AR1 at 2:28.4 in 2006 and Jad at 2:28.91 in MI at this event (which has to be an all-time BRI record for indexed time, I think.)

John and Tom, you are absolutely right. Bob drove incredibly well and that was after hanging out laughing until midnight. You deserve more than a forum post for that finish. Thanks for the tips. Track walks really do help!

It is undoubtedly the most highly developed 944 in the world, and resembles a street 944 about as much as the current Pratt & Miller Pontiacs and Corvettes running in the Grand Am and ALMS series resemble their production brethren.

You can tell it is not my old car, because the side view mirrors are different... and maybe a few other things
