Thanks for the kind words, Jackie, and the rest of you.
Over the years I've always been amazed at the contributions made by people for the love of the sport of driving, the friendships of PCA members, and the interest in giving a little extra so that everyone has a great time at perfectly run events.
I don't know about other folks, but I love to drive Porsches ... a lot! My desire to drive really inspires me to step up and help. It's really quite simple for me: the harder I work at preparation and organization the sooner I can get to the driving part.
If you've ever sailed, or surfed, or climbed mountains you know that preparation is key, and organization is the difference between a great trip (or event), and a difficult one fraught with continual interruptions and delays. So, I step up to "get 'er done" for the sake of getting behind the wheel. Am I selfish? You bet! I want to drive! So, getting there early, breaking a little sweat, hustling to help the Chairs get the duties done on time and correctly the first time, stepping up whenever asked ... that's all about gettin' behind the wheel. Get outta my way if you aren't gonna help, 'cause I'm on a mission and that mission is gettin' things done.
Based on the what I've seen over the years, I'm not alone in this idea. The new Chairs put forth an incredible effort for the sake of us "driving junkies" and I applaud

their efforts.
So cheers

to all who like to work hard so we can all drive more laps. You

guys/gals are the best! And to those of you who think I'm a crazed work-a-haulic and want to laugh at my efforts; have a seat,
slackers, your in my way.
Here's to all the volunteers!
All the Best.
