Track Setting Party!!!

Postby Mmagus on Tue Feb 01, 2011 5:18 pm

We had such a FANTASTIC turn out for the last one that we are doing it again! This NOT an event to be missed. You not only get to see the course before you run it, and have a hand in deciding just where those cones will be all while enjoying the company of your fellow club memebrs. If you have never helped set the course you may not understand what a valuable tool it is to do so. With just a few more people the process goes MUCH faster and its a great way to help the club.

Post a note and let us know who is comming!

The Details:

Friday Feb. 11, 3:15pm untill we are done.
Qualcomm Stadium South East Parking lot.
Bring a fun attitude, maybe some gloves, a beverage of your choice, and a friend! :beerchug:

See you there!!!

Thanks Jim!

It will be a rockin time and the rockstar with the blonde flowing locks will be there! Though admittedy his/my locks are not nearly as blond...or flowing these days. That was taken at a gig we did in about '84, though we never climbed above local fame we played in and around LA quite a bit in that era. RNA was the band's name.

Now....45 hits and no one else is coming? Come on folks!

Did I forget to mention the dancing gals? They will carry your beverage while you work, mopping your brow with lace.....ummm....handkerchiefs?
Or for the ladies, the male swimswuit models who will hand each cone to you personnaly?
I have even heard the President may show...flown in....yeah...thats it...flown in on .....a helicopter ...no...an air baloon...and there will be...doves...and....ahh....fireworks....

Sign up...dont miss it!

Mark,
I didn't want to be the 46th hit without stepping up to the plate so count me in! Sounds like a rockin' good time and is a great excuse to leave work early.
Like I say "There is no better excuse to miss work than a day on the track" :burnout: or was it "There is no better excuse to miss work than a day throwing the track" ?

See you all on the 11th!

 Gee, it's on my way home. It's Friday. I'll have the Black Pearl on the trailer recovering from a "chip transplant" at the Dyno Shop and in need of a little "physical therapy" ... and there's a local micro-brewery near by ... Hmmmm.... Maybe I should just swing by. :beerchug: Hmmm ... I seem to recall Mr. Bowman "owing me a beer" ... or something. Hmmm.

NOW we're talkin! Things are starting to shape up.

Thanks gents! :beerchug:

Who else is comming? I Know your out there Jump on in!

Don't make me name names.....

There is actually quite a bit to do at these things an "ideal" crew would let us have:

3 people for cone tossing
4 people roping (starting at opposite ends)
2 people sweeping
2-4 people patching holes

I know this, because thats what we had last month and we BLASTED through the process!

(Actually...I wouldn't name names...it just sounded good when I typed it.)

Good morning gentlemen,

Yes, it's looking good for tacos AND beers at the end of Mr. Brays track setting party, courtesy of the Alamo Mexican Cafe in Old Town.
Must do something about Jerry ordering hamburgers at a mexican restaurant though.
Hopefully I'll be there on time, though my job is trying to wreak havoc on my schedule this weekend. :banghead:

Looking forward to it. :beerchug:
Shiny 205's go FASTER!

Unless they're flat-spotted :-(

I'm really sorry that I can't help out on Friday due to my job. And I really want to thank you guys for doing such a great job with this. Especially Jim for hauling that trailer down to the Q.

Jerry/Mark, Can you let me know what time I should be there in the morning. I think this track party concept has bought us some extra time in the morning and I was there about 30 minutes too early last time.

Mike,

Jerry tends to ere on the side of caution and be "Mister Early". Which is probably the best policy, as my onery simi-drunken construction boss used to say, "If yer early....yer on time!!
I will get there between 6 and 6:15.
