Good to see the PCA events are still breaking even. 8)
I really enjoy Chuckwalla, fun track.
I noticed some long slow trains and just as a suggestion...
The non PCA groups I've run with this year grid all cars by time for every session.
Besides being safer it creates less traffic and more clean laps for everyone.
Something PCA might or might not ever consider.
Anyone know how to get rid of the clicking sound in the Go Pro?
Sounds like the camera cover or something is not snug?

Mike

You can't have run groups strictly by lap tiomes as there are muliple two driver cars and student and instructor groups.
Run groups do have speed parameters but there will always be variables.

The run session by times only works for open track days.

The long slow trains we're mostly during the first session on Saturday during the two laps under yellow. Except for a few GT3's that didn't want to point by a 944  , I didn't get held up much the entire weekend. Jack and Robert do a pretty good job of separating the run groups by speed considering instructor pairings and two driver cars.

Try putting some foam over the microphone on the Go Pro camera. The cover seems to adversely affect the sound of the camera when it's in it's protective case.

I agree with Mark - I think that the overall run groups are well balanced. I enjoy the oppurtunity to line up early and get spanked by the fast boys, or start in the rear and usually end up with a clear track after a few passes.

Generally some of the fastest cars in the Orange group are faster than the slowest cars in the Red group The same for Orange vs. Yellow.

I think Mike was asking about gridding cars for run sessions based on their fastest lap in the previous run session. So fastest cars would be lined up first in pre-grid and go out onto the track first and slowest cars last onto the track. This way there would be more open track for everyone. If someone did not run in the previous session, they would be gridded last.

Yes, just within each run group.
My choice an opening accordion.
Helpful if you are competing for lap times in ever session.
Since PCA session times are not counted is it worthit :?:

besides we still have these.
