Thanks to Robert & Jack for the typical well run weekend and all the drivers with no major offs. Had a great weekend with only a couple of slippery sessions on Saturday.

Great weekend. The weather held beautifully with cool temps and clear skies (you'd never know it drivin' up Friday). Although it dumped buckets Friday night and left the place submerged, the track was dry and quick by Saturday afternoon.

Kudo's to all those who bested their personal records. Rondeau .... Holy Bugeeesus, dude! That was really impressive. Greg Phillips: GREAT timed runs! Steve G.: "Howdy, Sodbuster." Still awesome Timed Runs after the clean-up. Don Middleton, you're the best of the sandbaggers. Great timed runs. Rick Sylvestri: awesome driving. Hockett Brothers, great driving and great times doing the cat-and-mouse.

As for me (insert "wussy" emoticon here), I learned a whole lot with a freshly-resorted car (thanks again, Steve). While my times were embarrassingly slow compared to my II/CC9-8 bretheren, I'm pleased with my results: I've never done better than a 2:18:xx in the past. So while I'm about my competitive times, I'm gratified to know that the car has heaps more potential, and I have a great tool to work with. I also have a lot to learn about big track driving in that car. Next year should be a fun "learning" year, I'm sure.

Thanks to everybody who made this event happen. One of the best Buttonwillow events I've done.

Even though my times look like the picture, I have great appreciation of the track. It really demands smoothness, momentum, and precision. I'm looking forward to watching the video from you guys

I had a blast!!!! First time running in the red group and it was as much fun as I've ever had on the track. Thanks for taking it easy on me. I felt like I got every bit out of the car while staying out of the mud. I'm sure there's another .5 seconds out there, but I didn't want to go "John Deere". Thanks to Robert and Jack for another awesome event. If you stayed home because of the rain, you should be kicking yourself. The weather was perfect. Cool and sunny with occasional cloud cover.

I can't agree more with the statement " It was a great weekend " I had so much fun driving Mike Browns 95' 968 mixing it up with Dan C's 911, the Hockett bro's spec boxters & everyone else who shared the Orange group track with me. You guys are a great bunch of drivers!

Monte you are really close to making me bow to your times, keep up the hard work & great driving and very soon you will make me watch the back of your car as it pulls away .

Jack & Robert....Thanks again for a really great event under difficult conditions.. my hat is off to you two!

Wow! Great TT weekend. By far my favorite of the year to date. Tires just stuck to the track like glue and everyone laid down some fast times. Bravo to James Buck for his first Porsche TTOD and top BRI. Very well deserved. Mark R is setting seriously unholy lap times in that faded paint 944.

If you went off track you really found out what the "glue" is all about. No cars were lost to the mud bogs though. Those that stayed home missed a good one.

Dan, thanks, but I wish I was that goood, i.e. to save my best times for the Timed Run session. But, there were others who did the same. I guess some of us are just like an older set of 710s with far too many heat cycles - it takes us a lot of laps before we come up to speed.

Then, again, only I had the Track Zen, Russell Shon, coaching me into the Timed Run session. I think this is the 4th or 5th TT event this year where my weekend's best times were during the Timed Runs session. He says he's going to start charging now...

Either way, it sure tops off a great weekend with a great group of people. Thanks to Jack, Robert and the karma one gets from being the Equipment guy - for another well run event.

Yes, well, I've driven with Don for several years now, and it's not that hard for me to figure out where and when he's off his game. That and I helped him figure out how to set his tire pressures correctly right before timed runs.

I'm so glad the weather worked out. Rennsport Reunion was fun, but when I was sitting on the pit wall watching the cup cars go by full blast (giving hot lap rides to the Porsche VIPs), I JUST WANTED TO DRIVE!

I guess it was due. I've been tracking this car for 6 years with no engine issues. I don't think the motor was ever rebuilt and with 175,000 plus miles, 25 years on the clock, and 6 years of hard track duty, it did well. The plan is to fix her up and get back out there soon.

Looking forward to a fun 2012 TT season.
