That's just frickin' hilarious Jad.

And I am sure that car would be faster with a #1 on it... Just think how many students Mark could terrify right out of the car in the first lap driving the silver bullet!

I'm sure that it wasn't my driving. It's only a 944 S. Does S stand for Scary? Does SC stand for Scary Car? :roflmao:

It's all Great when you can improve your personal best by a second and half and the car is still running at the end of the weekend :D . Now, I'm wondering how do I do something like that at CVR next month :? , but I better just stay in the moment for a while. You never know... :?:

Yes, while all of the 911SC drivers were stuck at 1:57, Don's 911 Carrera was out turning 1:53 with some of the other big dogs

Great drive

How about Jad getting 3rd TTOD in a CC13 car only .67 behind a GT3RS 4.0 and killing it in the BRI by over 1.5 seconds? Nice driving! Did I mention how loud that car is on video when it flies by my blue cone, I mean car.

Thanks, Greg, but the car seems to be perfectly geared for a 3.2L at the Fontana Roval. Just a matter of pedal-to-the-metal through turns 1 and 2. A little scary and easier said than done, of course. Still, that's probably the best track for the car. Shooting for cooler weather and a 52 next year!

+1, and Jad took only 1 lap to do it   He was saving the tires for his dad's runs. Imagine what time he'd get after a few more laps. It would've been a close match with the RS4.0 :D

Thanks, I was pedalling as fast as I could to catch the GT3 RS4.0 and the Competition Viper without messing up and getting caught by Fred, but giving up 180 HP on one and 500? HP on the other was too much (Mark, can I borrow your engine and put it in front so I would be about even with the GT3 :^) ). I was pretty happy with my lap, but could certainly have done better. A perfect lap would definitely have gotten the GT3, but I made small errors in the infield. That was the fastest I have ever gone through 1 & 2, entering at over 150 mph, exiting over 140 mph, but I still lifted more than I should

Great Festival this year, and not a major incident that I am aware of. That is a first! Great driving by everyone! Yet everyone still wants more, Mark missed 1:59.999999999999 by a couple tenths, Steve lost to Dan by a few hundredths, etc, etc.

Most people had some nice carrots to chase. See you in Chuckwalla.

Yeah, OK. So, about the smack talk....

Below is a little clip I was playing around with. It's pretty funny, IMHO. I think it's a different kind of "smack talk."

Bare in mind, all: Steve has been a great mentor, friend, advisor to many things Porsche, and .. supporter of my driving. He was one of the instrumental Instructors that Monica and I hoped to be half as good as some day.

So, take the clip tongue-in-cheek. That is it's intent. It's not every day you get to see your mentor in this light.

Dan, Your prologue had me more than a little worried but that was pretty funny.
And great production value. I really love who you picked for Director of Photography.

I hate to burst your bubble but chances are excellent that I won't even own the Silver Bullet when you next hit the track.
It will probably be there, just not in my hands...
I am hoping you will enjoy being on the track with its new owner as well.
Shouldn't be more than a session before he looses his student and can play with you Dano e Mano.

Thanks, Steve.

BTW: I meant to thank you for recommending I remove the wipers for better aero. It appears it might have gotten me ... Oh, I don't know .... about 0.03 seconds on a 2:00 track. :banghead:

Sorry the Silver Bullet won't be in your hands too much longer. However, I'm sure the new owner will sort it out and give us all a run for the money. I'm sure I'll be seeing you in my mirrors in some car or another. A fluke victory at CFOS isn't going to get you off my tail, I'm sure. I think it would be easier to get white off of rice than get you off anyone's rear bumper. :surr:

I know Greg and I will have a good time at the next couple of events, too. He's a fierce competitor  who's sorted out that rear-engined monster very well. If you end up in his car as "tester", there will be plenty more dancing to follow.

Have fun at Chuckwalla. 8)

Very clever video, Dan. Of course, the tried and proven Barbie-voodoo-doll-on-the-dash method of getting by your nemesis on the track produces far more dramatic results than just a point-by.

Ironically, it isn't even that good of a spin. Really, just a nice drift and it would have been a nice line had they put the track in the right place. I still think that corner sucks and it is the corners fault, not mine. Yeah, thats it :surr:
