Kart racer fundraising info

Postby JB987 on Mon Jan 21, 2013 8:34 am

At AX yesterday, a young woman announced that she was seeking some help for her karting career with a fundraising effort.
Can anyone let us know how we might be able to help further.

Thanks

I googled Isabella Busilacchi and found her fracebook page. Her dad, Peter is a member of OCR I believe.
I support all efforts to send her off to Europe for a long time. I learned yesterday that she plans to race 944 Spec. next year when she is old enough to get her drivers license, surely relegating us old folk one more step further down the results :surr:

HI all,

Yes, that was Isabella at the ax yesterday and she thanks  all those that bought some of her merchandise and made donations!! She is now a PCASDR member and will have her license in March when we will finally get her into the 944 spec car. She has raced karts since the age of 5 and has now been confirmed as one of 4 qualifiers from the USA for the Sodi World Championship in Paris, France this May. In order to go, she needs to do some fundraising of her own and I have promised to match any funds she gathers on her own. If you would like to get in touch with her or donate you can do so at the following:

or on facebook at World Class Motorsports.

Thank You for all your support

Hey, "local girl does well."
Love to hear success stories like this. Just kicked in a little fund-age to help her along. I'd still love to have a regular female racer in the 944 Spec class.

I just wanted to update the PCA gang and congratulate my amazing daughter, ISABELLA BUSALACCHI, for being the first official FEMALE SPRINT CUP WORLD CHAMPION for her performance at the 2013 Sodi World Series Grand Final Championship in Paris, France! Thank you to all the PCASDR members who contributed to her fundraiser effort and sponsors to help in this extraordinary opportunity. She now transitions from karts to car and is signed up for her first AX in the 944 spec race car. I'm sure she will need some time to make this transition, but looks forward to the new challenge. Thanks again!

OFFICIAL NOTICE FROM THE SWS Sodi-W-Series:

Isabella Busalacchi has been awarded the first official FEMALE SPRINT CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP for her performance at the 2013 SWS Grand Final!

As recognition of this outstanding accomplishment she is being awarded an Official Sodi Kart Team Racing Suit!

In addition to the Female Sprint Cup Championship, Isabella was the top American Finisher (male or female). 18 countries were represented in the world championships and she beat all the drivers (men and women) from 12 of those 18 countries and finished 16 overall (men and women)
