Hey Tom,
They were great for the first 3 run sessions.
From there they were good for the first 4 or 5 laps.
After that they would get hot, air pressures crept up and they would feel loose in T2.
Nitrogen didn’t seem to help.
They still might be the best DOT R rated tire for a TT single car timed event.

JP may be comparing the 710s behavior to slicks.
Racing slick performance would be a lot to expect from any DOT R rated tire.

I am running used Toyo RA-1's. Other than being heavy, I love them. Have not tried the Yokos' (maybe for my birthday my wife will buy me a set).

I'm comparing them to Hoosiers and to Mich Pilot Sport Cups, both of which I prefer to Kumhos (and the Cups will last twice as long).

Yeah I agree the Hoosiers I got from JC did not drop off like the 710s after 5 laps.
The Hoosiers were used and a smaller size too.
Between the two I couldnt say which would be best for a TT 1 lap warm up timed run event. :D

Not that I am TTOD but I use Pirelli P-Zero slicks (D6/D5 and D5/D4 compounds front/back). Work well and hold up pretty good also. They just raised their prices though as they were the same price as Hoosiers for the past three years, not anymore :((((

Kary, I think the turn numbers are incorrect starting with 5 through and including 7. Not that it really matters.

Robert,
My track map used the optional map generated from the accelerometer data from a lap. I have not created a manual track map where I set the segments. I am not sure there is really any benefit to malibh it exact to the track since I am comparing against my laps. Even comparing to other peoples laps if I use tgeur raw data and my map I can compare in a relative manner that tells me what I want to know. So far I have learned quite a but about my driving from this tool and I have a feeling I have another couple of seconds at willow in me with more practice with the data.

Sorry if this is a mispelled mess but I am in line at Disney world without my glasses :) using a blackberry.
