First of all, someone needs to put Dan Chambers on suicide watch.

What did you do to that engine  Your closing speed on the straights was insane

Wow, your first victory in 6 years of this. Enjoy it while you can with your 3.8 liter cheater motor :P

Martin,

Nice pass, exactly how Jack explained passing :?

Final thoughts on the new tires? Which model of the Nittos did you get?

I should probably get new tires pretty soon

What I did to the engine was put in hotter cams, GE60's instead of S cams. The cam guy told me they should be good for 20-25hp and an almost equal amount of torque. Since my car came with T cams, S cams were the same amount of points as the GE60's. I also had some of the spacers taken out from between the case and the cylinders to raise the compression from 9.5:1 to 10.2:1 My cars stock compression was I think 7.5:1 so I already was taking the points for higher compression so why not go hotter?

The last thing I did to the motor was to hook up my gas pedal correctly so I was finally getting full throttle.

When we lifted the car to pull the motor we found that my already reinforced rear sway bar mount had been broken free and was just hanging there. When I recently saw video from Buttonwillow 2005, my car was leaning way over in the corners.

I also upgraded my brakes from SC brakes to Carrera brakes and put in a new, stock size master cylinder. I went with the Raybestos racing brake pads instead of the Porterfield and they were great. I chased a braking problem for 3 years and the master cylinder turned out to be the problem. FINALLY solved.

I also put on the huge wing instead of the ducktail. Everything I did was zero points since I already had to take the points for less extreme mods.

My good friend Dan wouldn't give me any credit at Buttonwillow or since for the dominating spank that was laid down on him. All he'll say is something along the lines of "All it takes is money" or "you finally spent enough money to beat me" or some sort of money is the only reason I was faster than him blah blah blah. I have had more money into my car than Dan has since the first time it hit the track in 2003.

You should have seen and heard Dan congratulating Johnny Riz for winning AM and beating me. It was the most showy, enthusuastic, make sure Curt hears me pouring praise on the REAL fast driver in AM. I haven't seen such an overexaggerated acting job since the last time I watched Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (which you were great in by the way Jad :D ). Dan wanted to make sure I KNEW that he was very impressed with Johnny Riz and make sure I knew that Johnny Riz had kicked my butt.:D

Hmmmmmm? Strange that Dan didn't have a problem with Johnny Riz pouring crazy amounts of money into HIS car? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Don't worry Martin, I saw that car give you the point by too. You can't really make it out in the video but we both know it was there. :D

Jad, I like the Nitto NT01 http://www.nittotire.com/tires_nt01.asp, they seem to be very similar to the Toyo RA1 and don't have to be shaved since they come at 6/32. The downside is they can't be rotated on the rim due to the tread design and they don't make 255's.

Curt, you are right I can see the point on my on board video.

 Look at my rear end stepping out as I tried not to pass, so I figured I'd rather transform lost hill into a passing zone

Actually, I wasn't going to say anything at all. but now that you mention it I am positive that laundry list of items,( you forgot to mention the bigger headers) was not only free (read no money) but had zero to do with it.
Man are you paranoid, I had good reason to be impressed with Rizzy, he ran the 'same car' at the last 2 events that I was able to luckily come out on top of, and then he annihalated me at BW. :bigcry: I could care less if you were there to hear it or not.
Credit? sure, following is the same credit I get from you after I win....cricket....cricket....cricket.... :roflmao:

I already took points for cams.
I already took points for compression.
I already took points for brakes.
I already took points for aerodynamic aids.
I forgot the headers which are exhaust which is free.

Do the math Spankee :D

I gave you credit all the time. You used to be faster than me, way back in 2005! :D

I did the math Skippy, its over $7k...
Free as in MONEY doofus, not points.. I guess I'll have to spell it out for you next time.

Oh I'm sorry, you mean when you would give me credit for having a 3.2?
Or this classic credit quote, "how could I beat you? I only have a 2.9?"
Or this beauty " You only beat me by half a second"...

You're right, my mistake... :banghead:

Now you two calm down and shake hands ....or I'll have you both standing in the corner for 30 minutes.

Dan I think my current success evolves around the fact that I finally figured out what the "AM" in the AM class designation stands for, and I think that based on his most recent placing at BW, Curt has too.

Regretablly I have to share that I feel you might be a tad behind the curve on this, and as a result, your rather depressing timed runs.

So I will share this secret of AM class success that eludes most, but not all in the secret society of the AM class car....

AM stands for All Money
