Streets of willow In-car Video

Postby Erik K on Wed Feb 26, 2014 8:57 am

Had a lot of fun out at Streets of Willow, here is a video of my best lap from Saturday. The infamous Steve G. makes an appearance at the end :burnout:

Nice, Erik. I liked the salute to Steve G. at the end.

Perfect weekend/event. Big thanks to the organizers, the volunteers, the fellow drivers who kept it safe, the Weather Gods.

Here's my Timed Runs video:

Great driving by both of you!

Eric - textbook perfect! Thanks for sharing.

(Also, thanks for documenting Steve's, uh, moment!) :roflmao:

Great videos and a great event.

Here's my timed run video:

Here's what happens when you drive the grip right out of the tires. Also with a guest appearance by Steve G.

I feel like a rock star with all the name dropping.
I was actually just trying to get out of Erik's way and the dirt seemed like the safest place.
That video looks like it was on fast forward, nice driving Erik.

Spent more time in the dirt that weekend than I did all last year.
Tires... Yep, that's it...

Yes, Steve "Rock Star" G. is becoming famous for being famous. Maybe he should hang out with Paris Hilton and the Kardashians.

Here's Steve being eyed by a fly in my car.

Hey Dan,
I must be getting shorter! I am having difficulties seeing over your dash! (and I really wanted to see Mark sliding all over the place!)

Gee, Chuck, weren't you always short? (Just kidding!)

Yeah, Saturday's video cam mount position was really poor. I had to relocate the mount for Sunday, which proved much better views. The new camera doesn't allow for a quick view check. I should have at least removed the wipers. Sorry about that.

Just sit up taller in your chair when watching the videos.

Dan,

Nice driving. Very busy hands. Glad to see you stepping up. Where'd you learn to drive like that? Reminds me of someone in a red SC.
I'm still waiting to see the video of the Black Pearl with a guest driver. :D

Dan the end credits say those are both modified 911Sc's but I have heard you say "It's just a street car" and that Rondeau guy say "It's just a stock 3-liter, look and see, numbers match and everything... "

So which is it??

Mine's a numbers matching street car with a wing and "radio delete" kit. Dan's is obviously a highly modified race car with a 3.6l monster motor, big wing and suspension mods. 8)

That $15k did include the factory "Shift at 6800 RPM" sticker over the radio block off plate...so I got that going for me. :roflmao:
