Dan the end credits say those are both modified 911Sc's but I have heard you say "It's just a street car" and that Rondeau guy say "It's just a stock 3-liter, look and see, numbers match and everything... "

So which is it??
:)

Steve: the answer is "yes." That' all I'm saying'…

Both cars are "Street Cars", both cars are "modified". We've driven each others cars. You've "worked" on both cars. You can drive each car on the street; one being WAAAAAAY more comfortable than the other (a good measure for street cars). One is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY lighter and faster in the corners on the track (a good measure for modified cars/track cars).

I'd leave it up to any member of the club or person at the track to get into each car, drive it, drive it to the market and pick up a 6-pack … then tell me which is "more street-able" and which is "more track-focused."

So, Yes. Yes to both: "It's just a street car. And, it's been modified … just a little." You decide which car to plug in for "street" vs "track/modified" descriptions. I'm just saying'…

Oh, I'm taking a client out to lunch in my Porsche next week. We'll listen to the radio, turn on the wipers if needed, roll down the stock electric glass windows (all SC's from factory equipped thusly), and turn on the stock cool air blower motor if it gets to warm. I'm sure Mark can do exactly the same, Right?  :roflmao:

I'm just saying'… 8)

Dan, I can take a client out for lunch in my car as well. Windows roll(slide) down just fine, don't need wipers in San Diego, don't need the radio as we'll be busy discussing business and if it gets too warm, I can activate the cool air intake which happens to be connected to the gas pedal.... Yeah, right!!!

That could not possibly have been Mark!
There were only a couple of the "hands moving so fast that they blurred" moments!

It was me. Dan's car is very well set up now by the team at Black Forest. My car is much more on the razor's edge and Dan's is a bit milder, I really liked the 3.6 motor. When I got back in my car, It felt like it was down on power coming out of the bowl. Would have liked to drive that with decent tires. Watch out for Dan. He's starting to push it and the car is dialed in.

Chuck; Mark was only driving 8/10th on-a-count-a it was borrowed with the expressed understanding that "I just got it back from BF. You break it, you fix it ... or buy it!" Mark was being uncharacteristically easy on the "Pearl" because he knows how much I baby that car. Cudos to him for being so gentle ... and still kickin' may A$$ on lousy R888 tires (he was 2 seconds faster than me on the same tires, the B@^%@rd!).

Watch out for Dan. He's starting to push it and the car is dialed in.

Best compliment a driver could ask for. Thanks. :beerchug:

Fontana should be really interesting. With the new set-up, and some room for the HP, I should be a bit faster thru and out of the "Playground" and thru Turns 1 & 2. Those were my weak areas last year. I'm hoping to set a new personal record this year at CFOS.

Should be interesting for the CC11 crew. Frank's been killing it, the other Dan C.'s been moving it out really well :burnout: , and Phil S. has that newer 996 Carrera "Cheater" car :banghead: that Fontana should be heaven-On-Earth to drive.

SOW was a great time, thanks to everyone who made it so enjoyable. 8)

"Cheater" Carrera - come on, guys, when I take my client out in my "almost" stock Carrera we have factory stereo, A/C, full interior, cruise, and leather seats - and yes, Dan, I think that it will be "Heaven on earth" to drive at Fontana, and methinks that we are all going have to be on top of our game.

See you at Fontana.
