San Diego to Laguna....best route?

I know many of you have done this journey. Any new secret roads? What's the best route? I have driven it NOT towing 20-30 times (but I was hauling ***) I am driving my big heavy F450 + 30 gooseneck. So, no twisty roads. We are running the Punk this weekend with Chumpcar. 40 car max. Should be fun!

Sounds like 3 wide in the corkscrew LeMons style.
