Where are the TT and race results from last weekend

A place to hang out and discuss all things Porsche.

Where are the TT and race results from last weekend

Postby mvz944turbo on Fri Apr 11, 2014 6:40 pm

Is it my imagination or does the SD Region and Zone 8 seem to make everything more difficult to find and their site less user friendly every time they upgrade it? Can anyone tell me where the results are for Cal Speedway last weekend?

Thanks,

The results of both Time Trial and Autocross are always posted at www.pcasdr.net. Since the website reconstruction, the results are a little harder to find. Go to RESOURCES on the main menu line, then DE/TT, TT Results, Archived Results (Or LIVE results which is the link to Zone8.pcasdr.net)
On www.Zone8.org website. Go to EVENTS on the main menu line, Event Results, 2014, Time Trial.

Am I the only one having a problem getting to the TT Results page through the SDR website? When I click on "TT Results" a new copy of the home page opens. If I start by going to the AX Results page, it's no problem to click over to the TT results.

Are you starting at http://pcasdr.net and then selecting:
RESOURCES
DE/TT
TT RESULTS
ARCHIVED RESULTS
?

That works for me on multiple browsers.

When I click on "TT RESULTS" the new window opens. I have the same results on IE 11 and Chrome. If I go in through the AX link, no problems.

With that description I was able to replicate will have a look at disabling that behavior. Note however the little arrow next to TT RESULTS indicating that there is a sub-menu (and therefore that TT RESULTS is not intended for clicking). Instead, just point to TT RESULTS and let the sub-menu open, then click on one of the two choices.

Works great - because of my window size, the sub menu was disappearing off to the right side and I didn't notice that it was there.

Thanks,

Great, and I was also able to deactivate the unintended new window opening when one clicks TT RESULTS. With that, hopefully those using that menu in the future will now be able to more easily find the sub-menu.

I agree the TT results are buried pretty deep into 4 sub menus and if I am using my small netbook it can be difficult to get there with a small screen. On the other hand I really love the fact that we get raw timing results within minutes of completing a session and final results sorted by class within 30 minutes of final TT runs. BRI and track records are usually posted within 48 hours. Wow! Who does this? Some other driving clubs wait 2-3 months to get final results. Bravo PCA-SDR! :beerchug:

Starting with our next event at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway May 3-4, archived results w/BRI and track records on the results archive website will be published immediately after the results for Timed Runs are made available on the live results website. Also, once an event ends, the live results website always stays up until about 2 weeks before the next event, and once archived results are available, the top of the live site always has a direct link to the page on the archive site that has the results for that event. No one should ever have trouble finding this stuff. Live results website: http://zone8.pcasdr.net

Finally, following a successful test at the Festival of Speed, all members can subscribe to near-real-time lap times sent to their mobile phones for any car or cars they wish to follow on TT event weekends. Subscription is available at the above link once we are within 2 weeks of an event and automatically end once the event ends. Plans are under development to add the same functionality for Autocross, with roll out hopefully sometime this summer.
