Help! I need a CC01 ride this weekend.

Postby 70E on Thu Nov 06, 2014 1:57 pm

Greetings fellow AXrs, Does anyone have a lead on where I may be able to beg, borrow, steal (OK forget steal), rent or share a CC01 ride this weekend? I broke a gear at Streets of Willow and am still collecting parts. Understand I have no problem with my CC01 hero and friend Peter Lefebvre taking season points this year, but he has to earn it! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Roger Bush rpbmai@pacbell.net

OH NO Roger... :nono: You've been at Streets of Willow huh :?: Sounds like you've been getting some quality seat time on the big tracks. We both know you and the 911 could whip my slo944 with just 3 gears, never mind practicing at Streets too. Bring the ol 911 out anyways cause I'm ripe for a whippin, I'm racing on some old Chuck Sharp style tires ..(corded) I'm waiting for next year to update my tires after the new rules come out.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open for a CC-01 rental. Tim Comeau might have something to rent but he is overseeing the 944 Nationals at Sears Point this weekend and won't be back until Monday.

Dang it. My secrets out. I knew I shouldn't have posted that! But a mans got to do what he's got to do to keep up with you Peter! I'll probably come out Sunday anyway, continue our discussion about the 200tw point rule? Take care and best to KIm, Roger.

Roger,
I haven't double checked all the points, but I believe that this can run in CC01. It's completely stock (for now). Should be very competitive against a stock 944. You'll have to work something out with my son since this is his daily driver. He's probably going to want help with his tire budget.

Perfect! Have him meet me at Tech. We can work out the tire allowance then!

UUGghhh .. C'mon Mark... :banghead: 3 gears... 3 wheels... it doesn't matter to a Slo944.... I'm toast. :surr: Tell your son I have a TON of Halloween candy left over if he can be bribed I'll be right over to sugar up a deal.
