Buttonwillow Videos

Okay, let the viewing and posting begin! Get out the popcorn, start the smack talk, braggin' rights all allowed, any excuses are acceptable!

Rondeau: let's see my Timed Runs in your car!

This is a video of a few of my best laps from Sunday morning when the engine was still working well. The misfire started again in the next session, and I retired the Black Pearl for the rest of the event.

Let's get ready for Chuckwalla in January. :beerchug:

I have a few laps recorded but the guy jogging past me on lap 3 was too embarrassing.

Video of Dan Man Down and I with special guest appearances by Steve G and others. If you watch my rear view mirror, DMD is hanging in there really well. Had a great time playing in that session. The point by from the GT3 at Lost Hill was interesting as well.

Well, my video is of the first part Sunday race in November (apparently a month later than Mark's)

The usual chaos from the start into the first few turns before we all sort ourselves out.

It was definitely a fun weekend to wind down the season.

Giant kudos to Greg, Robert, and all the awesome folks volunteering for this event. :beerchug:

OK- That sucked so bad I feel I must explain...
Car was fully set up for new Hoosier R7's which included sway bar bias to under steer. (Huge front stick w/Hoosiers)
Avoided an imminent contact issue w/Robert Baizer in the last lap of hot practice and destroyed one of the front Hoosiers.
Track official issue, not drivers... Still a little upset about this; but better tires than car contact.

Rush in, inspect car. Yelling, screaming, foul language.
Pull old/cold R1's off trailer and bolt them on the car and rush out to the grid.
High frustration, low concentration and no front stick equals a poor lap time.
Doubt I could have beat Rondeau's 1:56 but I could have at least made him sweat...

Oh, well. It has been a fun and entertaining year.
Just add me to the growing list of "I used to be fast before Rondeau got into my class" club.

But... 2015 will be a new year.

Have I mentioned how much I love this car?

Still trying to decide if I want to drop down to CC08 for max BRI potential, stay in CC09 or jump up to CC10 with just a few mods. Hmmmm?
I'll have to wait and see what the rules changes do to everyone's classifications.

No need to go to CC08 to win the BRI with driving like that...you would have still won BRI at BW in CC10...

No matter how good the car, with you driving like that, the car is secondary. Amazing drive!

Don, Thanks for the compliments. It really is a very well built, well designed car. I'm going to have to modify it a little bit to fit my new helmet though. :roflmao:
