01/03/15 AX Results

Postby ttweed on Sun Jan 04, 2015 12:56 pm

I see the AX results are up on the website now. All I can say is, "OMG, Bill Behun!"
Was your hair on fire on that third lap? A 1:19.07?
I couldn't touch a 1:20 with the cold pavement and the sun in my eyes. You had over two seconds on me.
You are a "BRI God for a day!"
Congratulations!

All Hail the ex-CDI... scary to think what being able to focus on your own times will do to the field!

Rock on, Bill!

who knows if anybody got the right time, maybe we should just make it a no points event.

The timing system loses a start or a finish trigger and the timing gets off by a car sequence.
This is usually 7 or so seconds.
The cars in question were running at the same time I believe.

Several glitches in the first event of the year and still on schedule.
AX team is already working on tweeks for next event.

timing malfunctioned in the late afternoon sun yesterday
maybe we should try and locate start/ finish in a north/south orientation so the low sun doesn't affect the timing lights.

I know we usually only hear track feedback when people are unhappy... So here it goes.
The last two tracks have been really great.
Saturdays track had equal amounts of fast sweepers and super tight sections.
A 2010 GT3 and 1970 914 in 1-2 proves that.
Average year of the top 4 cars 1992..

Keep it up, and see you in February.

I totally agree -- that was a fun and challenging layout! I felt like I had gotten a bit of a workout after 5 laps.

Haven't decided if I like the track tour vs track walk yet, but willing to give it time to gel -- glad we're trying new things. Kudos to the whole auto-x crew.

And Bill, sorry the insanely great time didn't hold up, but top ten BRI is certainly nothing to sneeze at!
