PCASDR member Elliot Skeer drafted as Porsche Junior driver

Elliot qualified on pole and set new lap record for Sebring GT3 Cup Challenge race in a 2015 Porsche cup car last week. The GT3 Challenge is a support race for the Sebring 12hr race. They raced last Thursday and Friday morning. Elliot finished second in both races out of 28 cars.
Elliot has raced go karts since about 5 and was a Mazda factory driver for the last couple years. His 911 experience came from the smurf blue 85 Carrera that Frank Powell now owns. Look for Elliot at Rennsport Reunion this year at Laguna Seca as the Cup Cars will be a support race. You might see him coaching some of our drivers at events also.

Awesome! Well I guess I can't complain about having to run against Powell and the 85 smurf mobile.....it could always be worse, Skeer could still be driving it!

Pretty cool huh? I met Elliots dad at what could have been the first PDS here. Have known his mom much longer. It would be very cool to see him make it all the way becoming the next Patrick Long. The test Elliot did at Barber for Porsche is invite only and he was the dark horse with very little time in a 911 and the first time in a 991 Cup. Also his first time running Barber Motorsports Park and was only a couple tenths off Patrick Long's time in the car.
