Auto-X, TT and DE insurance

What do you use for Auto-X, TT and DE insurance? I am with AAA and they don't cover these events if something happened to my car.

Here is info from our DE/TT events.
Usually AX and timed runs for TT may not be covered

There are also other DE insurers out there, try Googling for more

Thanks, Greg. I called Lockon Motorsports and they don't have any Auto-X coverage. Strange since they do cover the HDPE events...

Personally, I don't see Autocross insurance as being an issue. When, if ever, have you seen someone prang their car during an autocross...even allowing for light pole contact or under-inflated tires leading to a roll-over? Personally: never seen either one. Over-revving the engine, scrambling the gearbox, flat spotting the tires - happen all of the time, but these are not insurable issues. I have seen policy references to exclusions for any "timed" events...therefore: TT's being a problem. Autocross? Hmmm. For DEs however - not so much, if any.

Over many years I've known only one friend that wrecked his car (a BMW) at a DE. USAA paid for the damage, then cancelled his insurance. Maybe someone has more recent or relevant experience to share...???

In the rare instance something did happen you ask someone with a truck to tow your car onto the street. Then you call AAA to come tow you from the street.

~ 5 years ago, i watched a 996 launch off a curb and fly through a chain link fence before coming to rest 15 feet away from an occupied police patrol car @ the Q.
I'll bet that was very $$$ to fix.

strange stuff does happen.
