By the way, I did break 1:30 on Saturday on my way used up set of Toyo's. Unfortunately it did not read out on the computer, only my lap timer. But I know I did it. Yeah, yeah, John, I can hear it now. Put a sail on the bumble bee and you may have a chance at 1:30 (you remember the screaming reach don't you?). Put a main sail on that thing and the wind direction is just about right down the front straight. When you need to jibe, well, that would be another story!

Steve, when I beat you at streets or BW, then I will really feel good! If would be better put!

Otto, by the way, the bill for that part including service fees, technical advice, etc, etc, is $478.39. Pay up! Just kidding. I thjought I taught you how to spin without messing up your car my first time out when you were my instructor. 3 runs, 3 spins, almost lost it on 2. I would have been out of the car on spin #2 saying find yourself another instructor. Flat spotting 3 tires, that hurts. By used race tires if you have the right size, way less painful!

Maybe, maybe not as I do not find WSIR much of a technical challenge to driver. It is just a big balls track with little reward for good technical driving......sorry!

John, just weighed in the other day with a 1/2 tank of fuel, 2879. I am sure you car is under 2000 lbs, come on John.....

Thats with you in it right Kary? If your car isnt under 2700, I will eat a bug. And as for John's car being under 2000, no way. I would guess his wet weight to be 2,200-2,300. So John, how close am I?

On the weight issue, I only took out the interior and sun roof and radio. Then I added a fairly heavy full cage back. I still have all other amenities in the car like heat and air conditioning. I do not fudge my points like many cars I see out there, but I can understand how you might think my car is lighter than it is given all the misclassifications and missed points on so many cars, particularly those RS America's.

In that case, I feel most fortunate in having a car that is nearly as light at yours with zero done in the way of weight removal. You and Jad must be using the same lead wheels, because his carbon/kevlar 944-silhouette car weighs in somewhere near 2-tons!

The secret to weight reduction is to find just the right scale We had an old rusty scale in our bathroom that Amy just didn't want to get rid of as it read about 7 lbs too low. It made her happy! Kary has found a scale that makes him happy, so enjoy your bug (a VW bug maybe?)

Just kidding Kary. My car is similar to yours in weight loss with a few fiberglass pieces to help, but the gutted interior makes people think the cars weighs nothing, when in reality, gutting the interior saves a couple hundred pounds TOPS.

It would be really cool to have a set of scales at an event so we could weigh our cars and really find out how they all compare.

I'm out in the garage all day working on the car getting it ready for Laguna, because I go back to Idaho tomorrow and someone else will be taking the car to the track for me. Anyway, I've discovered a couple hundred lbs. of rubber in very large clumps all over the chassis. So, actually Kary, using your creative math, I probably weighed around the same as your car during the TT!
