Thanks Mark, I think I am pretty clear on the weight issue. Remember that with PCA you are allowed to put the spare and tools back in the car and top off with a full tank of gas to meet model base weight (another 100 lbs?). That is how I made my guesstimate. A big strappin guy will also take more weight points than a 90 pounder based on the PCA weight calc. So yes a BSR car could be CC9 or CC8 depending on weight.
Example:
Car weighs 2450 min. on fumes
200lb driver with racing gear
Add spare, tools top off tank (100lbs?)
car weighs 2550 +50lbs free
Base weight 2850-2600=250x.4=100pts
