Noise testing at July 27th DE?

Posted: Sun Jul 20, 2008 6:37 pmTrust me, if you think you might be close to the limit, you probably are WAY over it. The accustics at Laguna often multiply the noises, add a little fog and you can add several db's to your cars normal sound level. And they check.

and was told mine was under 92db @ Lime Rock...

None of us wants to get to Laguna Seca and have a noise problem (or any kind of problem actually).
We could use some advice on how they test at Laguna so we can replicate their test method.
My recollection from our method is 50 feet from the course, aimed 90 degrees from direction of travel at about 30 - 36" from the ground at a point along the course that is most likely the loudest. Any thoughts from someone that actually knows the rules would be appreciated.
