Car Trailer w/ 7' vertical internal clearance?

Postby sdether on Tue Apr 04, 2006 2:27 pm

I know it's a bit OT, but I figure there's plenty of folks with trailering experience in this forum...

Do any car trailers have 7' internal clearance? If so, what make and where is a good place to start looking for one?

I'm actually not trying to fit a "car" as such but one of these:

thanks,

Arne-

My trailer has 8' internal clearance, side to side., except for the wheel wells. where it has 7' between them on the floor. It is an ATC trailer. Specs list 83.5" instead of 84" on the floor between wheels wells for their current model.

I'm sorry, i left out that I need the 7' in vertical clearance, which seems to be the hard thing to find.

Kary is right-- I had my trailer built a foot lower than stock, but when I was at the factory, I saw several being built that were to match a motorhome height. Their Stacker series has 120" internal height. http://www.aluminumtrailer.com/php/products/stack_trailers/specs.php You don't need the payload of the stacker series, but I'm sure they would build a lightweight model to 7' internal height for you, it would just be a matter of waiting for a custom job.

Some of the "toy box" model trailers seem to have higher interiors as opposed to straight car haulers, maybe that could be an option for you?
