Question on a track seen on Google Satellite

About 30 miles north of Lancaster there is a very large oval track of about two and a half miles diameter. I was looking on google satellite. It is east of 14 and very visible on the map. Does anyone know what it is or used for. It seems to have a road course and a very large oval. The only thing I can think of is a test track for one of the big car makers.

Which one?

There are two - the upper one (near Cantil, CA - 35 deg, 16'22.85 N, 117 deg, 57'34.54 W) is a Honda test track -

The lower one (just east of Mohave airport - 35 deg, 03'28.64 N, 118 deg, 02'06.81 W) is a newer Hyundai test track:

Both have large ovals, plus road courses and miscellaneous other track areas. The Honda center also has a sizeable off-road track area.

Anyone have any friends in Honda or Hyundai?

Thanks Kim. I thought they might be test tracks. But the one is huge. Thats how I saw it.

They are very similar in overall size, but the Hyundai one (to the South) is very new and thus the dirt is very bright compared to the older Honda track to the North.
