Woops - wrong again. The rules also have 10 point
bonus for entrants participating in an event out
of their state of residence. Everybody who attended
Spring Mountain from California will have an added
10 points. I think this part may only affect AR1.

In summary

5 point bonus for entering all 5 Time Trials
10 point bonus for SMMP if you live outside NV

Hi Paul,
You only recieve those points for Zone 8 totals. This does not apply to the San Diego Region as added points for the year.

Dan:

I though the region Time Trials were being run with
Zone 8 Rules - that's what's listed on the SDR TT
web page.

Anyhow, whatever the region does, there will still be
separate Zone 8 awards, and those will be based on
adding the bonus points as I listed.

Any impressions from driving with the non-porsches? Were the drivers courteous, fast, slow, etc?

We'll have to take a band saw to it. I can then mount my half onto the wall. Sorry Saturday ended like it did for you Martin. I think you parked just a little too close to Ethan.

Great weekend at a really challenging track. Thanks to everyone who makes it happen.

I've got to give Jad a pat on the back as he was nearly super-human out there (as always). I've obviuosly got plenty more to learn.

Oh yeah - Riz, I think Jad just handed you some humble pie. :)

Thanks Paul for the information about the championship points. But it sounds like Bill and I will have to get a saw out afterall

Thanks, yes I hope the valves are still strait and that I can be back at the next autocross. :(

Well, the Radical car drivers were a little high strung, and didn't realize they were guests at a PCASDR event. The only other X class car I saw was an EVO2 , after I said to myself what a goofy looking car, I ended up pointing him by.. The guy was a member of the Spring Mountain club is what I was told. I could not catch him on the straights but could hang close in the corners. Only saw 1 Supra in the pits but didn't see it run. What happened to all the Supra's??

The RX7 driver, John Magnuson, is a TT regular and a great guy. His friend, new with us, seemed fine on the track, too.

Thanks to all of you who expressed your appreciation for the event. I'm working on next year's schedule right now. Looks like Sp Mt. will be one weekend earlier, and Willow will be the same. Not sure about BW. And we have the Fontana dates, so should I try for one more Sp Mt date?

Yeah, perhaps you are right there Bill. I talked to Jad immediately after timed runs and expressed my humbleness and a hearty congratulations to Jad as well.

Doesn't really make me feel like I am eating any huge amount of crow ...as the way I see it, it's all about seat time...and Jad has a huge jump on me in that dept. In fact he was the CDI when I was entered in my very first AX.

I may have ate a little humble pie, but in the big picture, it was a very small slice, I assure you!! :D :P

Jack,
How about the infield only at Fontana instead of streets? This would also be preferrable over Big Willow for me and might be a nice change.

Thanks!
