Excellent job by Ron and all of his many enthusiastic volunteers. A very well run AX on a fast and fun track. I just wish I could have figured out the last section a little better. Sounds like the parade track will be fast and tricky and no practice runs to help figure it out. I think I better do both track walks.

Wish I were driving this one. Maybe the 7th......? 8)

Dan, my tires were new RA1's fresh off the press with full tread. It was definately tail happy until the mold release was gone and a bit of suspension tweaking was done.

Martin, my car is 15 or 19 points depending on weight and since my car requires a MAC truck spare tire and a 25 gallon air compressor to fill it up, I take no points for weight.

Not even KI. Did you see that plush interior? Wall-to-wall carpeting, multi-speaker stereo system, etc., etc. It's definately a KP car, but not by a huge margin anymore.

I, too, would like to add that we had a great time at the AX. The track was challenging. It had a nice flow to it, though because of the speed, the fun was over too soon. I can't remember seeing a crowd that big ever.
Mike Gagen's announcing was icing on the competition cake!
Yes, we had some close racing in the 944 spec class! 10 drivers that day. Jackie Corwin and Debbie Sharp were driving their 944 spec cars in GP, so that actually makes 12 drivers! Here's something I'd like to try.......put all the 944 spec cars in the same color group so that we all do our timed runs together. Talk about sweating?! You're on the grid, waiting for your next lap while listening to the announcer call out the other 944 driver's lap times! That's quite a different level of pressure/excitement than doing your best, parking it, and listening to the speaker over a cold drink. Just watch the lap times ratchet right down to OPTIMUM!!
Anyway, our crew had a blast staying busy and I believe we set a new record for having the most drivers ( 5) in one car at an AX. We had a driver in every color group except orange and each one required different tape numbers on the sides of the car. There was some pretty fast and creative tape artwork going on.

Tim - I must be confused... :?
How would we put all the 944 SPEC cars in one class and then have you have 5 drivers in a single car?
I am picturing a circus "clown car" act trying to change drivers and numbers five times in the same run group.

We were having as much fun as circus clowns!
No, but seriously, you couldn't do it in the same car. I meant get all the individual driver cars in one group. If we had multi-driver cars, we could just push them into another color.
