A Reminder and a Pic

Postby jenniferreinhardt on Thu Jul 12, 2007 6:34 pm

It’s time for us again to remind you about pre-registering for the 7/21/07 DE and the 7/22/07 AX. The deadline is Tuesday July 17th.

Remember, faxing in your pre-registration saves you money so you can spend it on tires and breakfast burritos!

By the way, who does the lady driver in the picture remind you of and why? (I didn't say she or the car 'looks like' this person  ) She must have been really fast and furious - just like….???...is.

Jennifer

John,

This reminds me of a lady who is a Mom and a driver in our club. I couldn't resist posting the picture when I saw the similarities.

Look for clues on the car. Anyone?

The car number should be a big clue.

Hmmmm. Car # 55.... Engine up front.... Beer sponsor....

Polite, nice, cute, and sweet in the pits, and an absolute competitor on the track ....

Sure sounds really familiar to me.....

I wonder if 'Mom' broke as many records (and maybe a few hearts) as 'daughter'?

Where'd you find such a great pic? Perhaps the other Registrar?

Yep, I figure if we butter her up she'll bring some of her fudge brownies to the next AX -Too funny to find a female racer picture with the #55 and sponsored by a beer company. O.K. - Jackie Corwin is the Mystery Girl!

I was just surfin and found this website about Women Racers in Kansas before the 1960's.

I really like this picture too of the racers celebrating after a win.

Man, you don't check the forum for a few days and look what happens. It even took me awhile to figure it out. I thought it might be Ginny Case, but I've seen pictures of her young. Has this picture been approved by Martin? All joking aside, get pre registered for our big weekend and Jennifer and I will both be dancing like the couple towards the end!

I thought the guy dancing was Steve Eguina but he's never moved that fast.
Jennifer, I checked the website you listed and it looks like there is a picture of Katina in her Boxster, but I don't think she will pass the broomstick rule. I'd copy it here but I don't know how.

Yep, that picture could be Speedy! :D

There is a saying in French that is written something like this:

Qui se resemble, s'assemble! (Who resembles, assembles)

Tomorrow is the deadline to get your registration faxed in early so we all can assemble!

Nice call Curt. I don't think that helmet would pass either.

Boy, would you look at all the mud splattered all over the car?!? That must have been a QDE event, running behind Curt, with those big, fat Hoosiers. :burnout:

Interesting you note the mud on the car. The helmet has mud on it as well but she is spotless. She either changed for the picture or was heavily covered in Scotchgard.
