Autocross Registration Night Wonder!

Just want to thank Jennifer and Martin for making the clerical aspects of AutoX registration go VERY smoothly. How manyu of you AutoXers are aware that on the Wednesday or Thursday night before each Autocross the AutoX Registration committee sits down for about four hours and works through all the clerical work necessary for you to be able to run the AutoX the coming weekend. For the last year or so this has been mainly the team of Jackie Corwin and Jennifer Reinhart. Since September this team has been augmented (with an eye on the impending retirement of JC and JR) by Laura Fulbright and Linda Shipman.

SO .... Last night Jennifer and Martin surprised those assisting in this Saturday's AutoX with a full blown, Swiss style Fondue Party. Lots of vegies, meats, dips, h'orderves and wine followed by a fruit with chocolate fondue. To cap this off Jennifer had done most of the grunt/clerical work for registration so there wasn't even much to do BUT FON'DO!

A big and specially thanks to Martin and most especially Jennifer for making Saturday's AutoX happen!!!!

... AND ... I forgot to mention that there is an old Swiss custom concerning Fondue

... if you drop your food IN the fondue you have to kiss the host!
... thank heavens that Martin preferred "new" tires instead ... he ended the evening with a pile that would have brought smiles to a poor used tire business!!

I was happy to finish up the last 18mos of pre-reg with my partner, Jennifer, and she did welcome in the new team with a BANG! Too bad she's on the board, I'd like to nominate her for the new caterer for the PDS! Don't worry drivers, you are in for some excellent changes in the registration dept for '08. Stay tuned.

Oh no! Martin and Zoli are enough!


I don’t want to overdo in the gush department, but J. Corwin’s enthusiasm is addictive and she made pre-reg fun. I nominate her to bring her spiked Chocolate fondue to our after AX parties! Thanks to Casey, Keith, and Dave G. for always helping, and especially to Dave for letting our crew descend upon his house for many, many pre-reg evenings. We also had lots of help from Martha, Gary, Sheila and Doug. Martin was behind the scenes to clean up the computer after us, and teach us not to screw up data.

Linda, Laura and Janet are the 2008 Wonder Women and Perry will be right there helping too. He made the program that now prints driver info labels on the envelopes.

And, and if it weren’t for Tom Brown’s registration and timing software, racing days would not have gone so smoothly. Look for even more improvements in 2008!

And one last commet before I let this go ...

Jackie and Jennifer just had surgey on their right or left foot (one had right, one left ... some kind of two four deal!) Needless to say they didn't drive at Saturday's wonderful AutoX event.

...BUT they both sat and manned the trailer until mid-afternoon.

...What a great team!
