San Diego Fun Run

Postby avidtest on Sat Dec 29, 2007 6:13 pm

For anyone up for it, there is a Fun Run brewing on New Year's morning (non-PCA, just some Porsche enthusiasts). Details on Pelican here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?t=384191

Hope to see you. Happy New Year.

Hi Cam,

From the Pelican site: "we start gathering between 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM at the VONS parking lot between Aviary Drive and Scripps Ranch Blvd off Pomerado road. With the hopes of starting the drive at around 9 AM. Pomerado road is a nice scenic drive as well.

The VONS store address is:

10016 Scripps Ranch Blvd
San Diego, CA 92131"

and here is a Google map of the route: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&g ... &z=11&om=1

Hope to see you (and others) there. :D

Any consideration to taking Sunrise Hiway as opposed to 79?

Hi RETII,

I'm up for anything and although I'm not intimately familiar with either the 79 or Sunrise Hwy, I'd prefer to take the most fun route (more curves = more fun), whichever that happens to be. However, since the current route is already posted on Pelican, it would be best if you posted a map of your proposed route on on the thread over there and see what the mob says. :)

that looks like a good way to start the new year. I think I'll try to make that run.

Hmmmm. I'll see if I can talk the Misses into bringing out "The Team" (911SC & 912). There are few better ways to start the New Year than driving back-roads in P-cars with friends. Are 4-cylinder classics under 150-BHP allowed? It is a Porsche, afterall ... 8) The weather couldn't be better.
