Camera Hookups

Postby twitte on Mon Jan 28, 2008 12:47 pm

I have a fairly small, lightweight, new Sony High Definition video camera that I'm hooking up to a suction cup that is mounted on the inside passenger side front window. I don't know anything about hooking up to a lipstick camera but I can look into it. My video is the new wide format (which is why I was having problems with YouTube because most of what they have is standard format).

The suction cup is easy to move from car to car and won't come off over any rough tracks. I already tested it on the back of my car on the freeway at high speed.

Sounds like fun, but might be a problem for my convertible with window attachment.
But I'll give it a try, sign me up.

Pretty good driving Dan...
I am planning on running the entire season so keep the detail product to yourself.
I don't plan on letting you off this easy in the future.
Gloves are coming off for next event... you're getting waxed by a overweight daily driver convertible...
If I lose, I'll ArmorAll your tires....

Let's face it .... my driving was like a whale's tale ... a total Fluke! Luck doesn't even begin to desribe my driving Saturday, but thanks for the complement. 8)

I'm sure you and the Youngs will be putting me in my place (AKA 4th  ) on a regular basis. :?

For now I'll bask in the afterglow (for the next week and a half) and then prepare for reality. Still, it should be a fun year in IS, even if I never see another ribbon.

BTW: where was "Davey SQ" and the "Rhino-Abajo"? We missed them. :(

I thought your hair must have been on fire on your second run, Dan, but then I remembered that you already shaved it all off....

You definitely "drove it like you stole it".

Well, I have a few excuses, but the main point
is I sucked Saturday.

However, that is not to diminish in any way
the stellar performance of Mister Smooth, and
Mister Very Smooth, with BRIs of #3 and #1
respectively. Hearty congratulations for
getting the better of a challenging track!

I may use the excuse of "Needing to check out
Butch" at the February autocross. Heaven help
me if I am not faster than IS in that car!

Thanks, Tom. Coming from "Mr. BRI" that's very flattering.

Actually, I drove it "like and angry IDIOT" for missing my 2nd set of practice laps (meeting with my bookkeeper at 10:30AM).

I was so PO'ed at myself for missing the second set of practice laps, I just screamed obscenities all the way around the track and kept the throttle down! :roflmao: When I came in from Lap 2, I thought the clock/timing system was broken. (More obscenities into my helmet!)

Maybe I should be angry more often.  This time around it was PDL driving :D (Pure Dumb Luck).
