Hmm... can't really tell if that's sarcasm or not....

I really like most of the proposals and congratulate the rules committee on job well done. However, I share a concern expressed by Tom Tweed regarding proposal #16 (weight reduction): What condition must a car be in during the competition runs? If a car must be within 50 pounds of curb weight, then everyone better go fill up their tanks before the timed runs (or else take 4 points for running on half a tank). This could create a big problem in time-trials where almost no one has a full tank on Sunday afternoon.

Does the club even have scales? I know we had some for the club race, but were those ours, or borrowed?

Carl and all,

Bill Allen must know your concerns on any proposal. That is how he make a decision that the membership wants.

So if you have issues send him an e-mail

pres@pcasdr.org

I have alread sent mine in.

I think I said it was lighter. :D

Now add the tires, springs, and all the other things allowed (they are spec, not stock)
The only difference is the tires (non-R in SS), as spring rates and ARBs can be changed from stock in SS under the old rules (total of 4 points allowed.)

944 have been allowed to run 225's with no points for a long time, so that isn't a change
Why is there a proposal #15 to change the rule, then? The 2004 Zone 8 rules don't have that allowance, it says 225s are 2 points for all of GSS. Did we make a special rule for SDR? I see that our classification sheet does allow the 944 225s for 0 points. Is that a regional allowance and proposal #15 is to bring it into the Zone rules?

The early 911 have dominated the class for ~10 years now
I can't argue with that :D , and if you look at what I said previously, I'm not against moving the 911s out of "G" and giving the 944s their own class. The overdog car in GSS has been the 911E 2.4, though, until this year. No one ran one, so my 2.0 won, which wouldn't have happened if anyone ran a '72-3 911E as in the past years. The torque of those cars makes my 2.0 feel weak!

Don't you want a little challenge....
No, I like total domination.

I thought this forum was for announcements  Can we move this topic into a thread in the real discussion area?
