Great 1st time experience

First all credit for what I learned needs to go to Herb for his patience and teaching skill (he even stuck with me after I spun a 360 coming out of turn 9 on my very 1st run - my car is the Brown Cayman that kept plowing through 9).

As luck would have it I finally caught on during the timed runs and even got Herb excited with my last run as I held on to most of my speed through 18.

Again a big thanks to Herb for is tutelage and patience.

Good job! I loved the "Root Beer Metallic" color on your Cayman, if yours was the one I noticed.

Yup thats the one. I always thought the color was more UPS brown but now that you mention it Root Beer is also a good color analogy.

Root beer brown expresses it better. UPS brown isn't it. UPS brown looks like a melted Hershey bar.

My friend, you were the one driving, I was just out for a Sunday drive.

Having an enthusiatic and receptive student is what makes instructing such a rewarding way to volunteer with the club. You were eager and open to learning and unafraid to push your skills past your comfort zone and into new territory. The greatest thrill for me is when the light went on. I swear I could actually hear the "click" as you reached an epiphany and pressed your new found skills.

The grin on your face at the end of the day was all the payment I needed.

I'll gladly ride with you any time and look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Give serious thought to the Performance Driving School April 18, 19, 20. If you had a good time yesterday, you'll be a drooling idiot by the end of that weekend. The sign ups start March 8th (there's more info in the Wiudblown Witness on page 27.)
