Hi Josh,

I tried the Nitto NT01 a couple years ago, I like fact that they don't need to be shaved since they come with 6/32 out of the molds.

They worked well and lasted longer than the Toyos, but I prefer shaved Toyo RA/1s.

thanks Martin,
do they stick as good, worse, or better than the RA1?

I ran both the NT01 and the RA1 back to back at Fontana. Both with very similar lap times. The Nitto felt a bit more stable (especially on the oval) and just as sticky if not slightly more than the Toyo.
I too like that they don't need shaving and they seem to last a long time (ran the entire weekend (TT) but 2 sessions and they still have tread and plenty of laps left in them). They are also a little cheaper than the RA1 8)
I will be using the Nitto's going forward.
Others experiences may vary :)

I had similar experiences as Mike did, my lap times were similar on both tires (NT01 vs RA/1) at Buttonwillow. The NT01 seems to be a harder compound, not as sticky, but last a bit longer.

On my car the Toyo is more predictable and consistent.
