Can anyone out there suggest a good place to view the air races besides the $250 tickets? Thanks

My wife and I took our 13'center console dinghy last year, it was just the right boat for the job. We could get right to the front, easily avoiding all the drunks in ski boats, something I'd never attempt with the big boat.
The airplanes were only about 100' overhead as they started their runs....cool.

Seaport Village is good. You get pretty close. I'm going to try Coronado this year as the sun will be at my back and taking pictures might be better with no back lighting.

The one nice thing about the tickets was getting quite close to hear the announcers and air control. The engine sound of the high speed tight turn was great. A one day ticket is enough but I wouldn't do it again.

Thanks all, I get the feeling that the best seat in the house will be the news clip or to search the the cable/dish schedules to see if it's being shown live.Crowds are not my thing. Thanks again
