Other car autocross questions?

Postby Jad on Mon Oct 25, 2004 1:29 pm

For the other car autocross, what cars are allowed, who can drive, etc. Can friends drive? Are there really any rules, or do we just use case by case judgement?

Just wondering, as I know several people who might like to run.

Jad:

1) "Other Cars" include coupes, and sedans that will pass Tech Inspection. High-profile Trucks, SUV's, and vehicles that may damage the asphalt surface (No tanks, bulldozers, or other heavy equipment, please) are likely to be disallowed. (As always, ALL Porsches are welcome.) Special consideration might be made for non-sedan or coupe on a case-by-case basis, AND by pre-approval. Assume nothing .... be sure to ask well ahead of time.

2) PCA members and affiliates are eligable for the event. No other 'persons' may drive or ride as passanger, as outlined in the Regional, Zone, and National Rules.

3) All Rules of San Diego Region apply for Autocross at this event, except that there will be no 'timed' runs. This is a non-competitive event.

I invite all those interested to write ax@pcasdr.org for more info, special requests (No Jad, Miles can't drive yet. He'll out-drive Dan A. and Curt A., just like his daddy  ), or clarification.

Thanks!

While the timing system will be "down", the hotlap system will be "active" for those individuals with their own private system who wish to 'monitor' their "driving perspective".

(That would mean, yes  )

Ok, that was funny...
As Curt always tells me, "you are only as good as your last event"...Thats probably why Jad isn't showing up for the next TT....
