:?: Wasn't (isn't) the plan to spot the trailer by the Bud sign so we can play late and leave early? Wouldn't that also make the start/finish at that end of the lot?

Good point, Ted. The Trailer isn't needed too much for DE's after initial set-up. No timing. So, I guess it's possible to do a set-up, and then move the trailer to the bud sign, out of risk and harm's way. The PA and generator are portable, so we could feasibly locate a couple of tables with all the gear we need at the Trolley/south end.

Once the event is over, we only need the truck to pick-up cones, and drop them at the trailer near the Bud sign.

Chairs, Gary? Thoughts?

BTW: nice track, Gary.

Do we have a generator for this event? If not someone needs to rent one. I would but will be out of town until Friday night.

If you had noticed, the pavement by the trolley is the worst in the entire lot, while the best is up by the Bud sign. If it is such a big deal to pit in the north end the area from C3 to the east is open and out of the way. The track entrance and exit are easily changed.

I have a 5550 Watt generator that we can use. I will just need to get some help loading it up the night before. It is def. a 2 man job--and I dont think it will fit in my 944.

BTW--that track looks super fun :D

All things being equal, it's sure nice to pit in the shade under the trolley tracks......It IS summertime.....

I think we are doing the Trolley shade side. We may have to move at 3:30 or so, but will only be a short aggrevation.

Postby ChuckS on Fri Jul 25, 2008 3:14 pm

Thanks to everyone for the offer to use a generator, but as of today, the trailer has a nice new generator installed. We are again ready to go!
